Refund Policy

30 days, one email, and no attempt to talk you round. This page explains how a refund works and the few cases that are handled differently.

Last updated 10 October 2026

§ 01

30 days to change your mind

Write to us at any point in the 30 days after your course's first live session and we'll refund the whole fee. You don't need to give a reason, and nobody will try to persuade you to stay.

One email is enough. We would much rather return your money than keep it for a course that didn't suit you.

§ 02

What happens when you write

Send your request to [email protected] from the address you enrolled with, and tell us which course it is. If you'd like to say what fell short, we'd be grateful; we read every note, and they shape how we teach next time.

  • We acknowledge your email within one working day.
  • Within three working days we approve the refund and ask our payment provider to send it.
  • The money goes back to the card or account you paid with. Banks usually take a further five to ten working days to show it.

§ 03

After the window closes

Once the 30 days have passed, refunds are no longer automatic, because by then most of the course has been taught and the tutor's time has been given.

Please do still get in touch if something serious has happened: an illness, a family emergency, or a course that truly wasn't what it said it would be. Usually we offer a credit towards a later course, and we will always look for a fair answer.

§ 04

If we postpone or cancel a course

  • If we cancel a course, you get a full refund, however long ago you paid.
  • If we postpone a course, you can move to the new dates, switch to another course of the same price, or have a full refund.
  • If we move a single session, we reschedule it. On its own that isn't grounds for a refund.

§ 05

A few other details

  • Refunds are paid in US dollars to your original payment method. We can't control exchange rates or fees your bank charges.
  • If your employer or university paid, the refund goes back to them.
  • After a refund, access to the recordings, materials and the course's discussion space ends.
  • Each person can have one refunded enrolment per course. You're welcome to enrol again later, but the window doesn't start afresh.
  • Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
